A practice in applied AI · MalaysiaAn institute by intent, not declaration
The most useful AI is the AI worth trusting.
Thoughts Machine is an AI practice based in Kuala Lumpur. We build, deploy, and study artificial intelligence with a quiet conviction: that AI should serve people first — measured by who it includes, what it improves, and how reliably it holds up under scrutiny.
Every engagement begins with a simple question: does this AI improve someone's life? We work on problems where the answer is unambiguous — public safety, financial inclusion, healthcare access, education, scientific outreach.
If a project doesn't pass that bar, we don't take it. Capability without conscience is the opposite of progress.
II.
People
Inclusive use of AI.
The most powerful AI systems are useless to those who cannot reach them. We build for the channels people already use — WhatsApp, Telegram, voice calls — and in the languages they actually speak, including Bahasa Melayu, English, and Chinese.
Inclusion is not a feature we add later. It is a constraint we design from.
III.
Practice
Quality, grounded, secure and reliable.
Hallucinations are unacceptable in production. Every system we deploy is grounded in verified knowledge, audited for drift, and protected by independent security review (in partnership with Cybertronium, ISO 27001, CREST).
We measure reliability the way an engineer would — by what holds up at three in the morning, not what demos well at noon.

A catalogue of products, partnerships and public-interest research.
From a flagship knowledge platform deployed across enterprise channels, to a planetary mission tracker viewed 150,000 times worldwide — a partial record of what we have built.

iKB
Scientifically engineered knowledge systems
An enterprise's entire knowledge — instantly accessible through the channels customers already use. iKB transforms scattered documents and institutional knowledge into a multilingual assistant on WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, and the web.

A real-time tracker for NASA's Artemis 2 mission. We use AI to compute and visualise the approximate location of the Orion capsule across its 800,000 km return journey — a public-interest project that brought planetary exploration closer to ordinary readers.
The full-stack contact-centre intelligence layer. Voice bots handle routine calls; real-time transcription and sentiment analysis surface moments for human intervention; an agent copilot suggests responses and automates after-call work.

Vocalis
Voice AI on existing PABX
Enterprise voice AI that speaks through your existing phone system. Vocalis connects to any SIP-compatible PABX to handle inbound calls, answer enquiries, route conversations, and escalate to humans — without replacing your telephony.
Paste a suspicious message, number, or link; receive instant AI analysis of scam indicators. Already protecting thousands of users from increasingly sophisticated fraud — a public good, freely offered.
Analyses images and videos to detect AI generation versus authentic capture. Confidence scoring, multi-algorithm breakdowns, per-frame video analysis. Supports YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and direct uploads.
A personalised daily news briefing with no accounts, no tracking, and no ads. Curate topics, export PDFs, access session history; data auto-expires after thirty days. Identity is a random browser token. Nothing more.
Computer vision that runs at the speed of business. Optimised models process live video streams in milliseconds — detecting objects, reading text, recognising faces, tracking movement. Deployed across security, manufacturing, and retail.

Gradifier
In partnership with GradoAI
Bringing AI intelligence to education management. Gradifier transforms how schools handle enrolment, student records, and administrative workflows — letting educators return to the work of teaching.
Our own private, air-gapped datacentre running NVIDIA H200 GPUs on Linux. Infrastructure consultancy, deployment, and secure on-premise APIs for organisations whose data cannot leave the building.

§ III — The Practice
An institute by intent, not declaration.
We are engineers, researchers, hardware specialists, and software architects — drawn from Astiostech and Intelimina, and joined by a conviction that AI should be measured by the trust it earns.
Thoughts Machine brings together more than thirty years of combined experience in technology. We are based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and our work spans applied research, public-interest products, and private infrastructure for organisations with serious data-sovereignty needs.
Our hardware practice operates a private, air-gapped datacentre equipped with NVIDIA H200 GPUs. Every system we deploy is governed by human oversight and audited by independent security partners. Our software practice supports Bahasa Malaysia — including local dialects and cultural context — alongside English and Chinese.
We work with collaboration partners across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Our security partner, Cybertronium, is an award-winning cybersecurity firm (ISO 27001, CREST certified) that conducts our AI/LLM security audits, code reviews, and penetration tests.
